Medium: marble, aluminum plate, film folder
I designed this pinhole camera made of marble, to be set up on the playground of an elementary school, to take photos of the total solar eclipse which will occur on 2 September 2035. Using this camera, kids over multiple generations will be able to learn about the orbital of the sun and the moon, the optical system and how cameras work, and so on. This work was part of "Toride Art Project" and a collaboration between Masatoshi Mori and Kanade Yagi.
