Exhibition title: The Sculptor is a Medium: Interpreting Guillermo Tolentino
Venue: Artery Art Sapce
36 Digital C print
The vivid first impression of Guillermo Tolentino's sculpture on Yagi was as if they were living. She thinks that when the audience uses their imagination to appreciate sculptures as if they were real people, the objects start to trigger an ambiguity in their minds between sculpture and human. Yagi attempted to express this ambiguity using photography. If you have an opportunity to truly appreciate Tolentino's work, you will use your own imagination.
